Preston Markets

Earmarked as a priority development zone, the revitalisation of Preston Market into an $80 million residential and shopping complex, including high-rise apartments, is a significant retail development for Salta Properties.

The redevelopment will see the unique character of the market maintained and enhanced within a modernised environment that will include a multi-level car park, improved ground-level retail, the retention and revitalisation of the existing market, a new full-line supermarket, improved pedestrian access and new public spaces.

Plans were also in place to construct apartments on the upper levels at a later date to meet future housing needs. As a long-term property owner and developer, Salta Properties sees Preston Market as having long-term value as a local social and cultural hub.
