Salta Properties' majority interest in the unfolding Victoria Gardens mixed use precinct puts us in the top tier of Australia's private developers.

Located on the corner of Victoria and Burnley streets in Richmond, just four kilometres east of Melbourne's commercial heart, the precinct is centred around the closest sub-regional shopping centre to the CBD as well as other Salta Properties. Here you will find Victoria's only IKEA store and a number of major retail anchor stores such as Coles, Kmart, Hoyts, Freedom, Dick Smith Electronics, Fitness First, Kingpin Bowling Lounge as well as 75 specialty stores. It is also positioned within one of Melbourne's most vibrant and eclectic retail pockets that is home to destination strips Bridge Road, Victoria Street and Church Street.

Salta Properties owns a 50 per cent stake in the shopping centre, sharing ownership with major retail owner and manager Centro Properties.

Completed stages at Victoria Gardens include:

  • The Victoria Gardens Shopping centre A sub-regional centre with approximately 45,000 square metres of retail space and more than 2,000 car parks
  • 678 Victoria Street A prime riverfront office building of 11,000 square metres (net lettable area) including the renowned Fenix restaurant and 250 car parks
  • 600 and 610 Victoria Street Aan A-grade office complex located on the corner of Victoria and Burnley Streets. It comprises 8,500 square metres of office space and 180 car parks.
  • Stage 1 residential comprises four buildings with the total of 99 apartments in a prime riverfront setting.

Victoria Gardens is now set to commence further development including:

  • A 11,506 square metre office building pre-leased to BAE Systems
  • State 2 residential comprising approximately 300 high-end apartments
  • Further retail and office development in excess of 40,000 square metres
