The former Mercy Hospital precinct was earmarked by the Sisters of Mercy for redevelopment, with the expectations that the returns they receive will comprise both new buildings for their use (on site) plus cash that can be deployed for other new facilities they were planning elsewhere.
Salta Properties was successful in winning the competitive open market tender for the rights to develop the precinct and has implemented its vision for this complex site.
Planning and design for this site required close attention to heritage preservation as well as accommodating the fact that a hospital and clinic facility would continue to operate within the precinct throughout the redevelopment phase.
Motivated by the desire to innovate and reflect excellence, Salta has implemented a responsible design aesthetic for all new and existing buildings that complements the site context, built form and landscape character of the surrounding area.
