Salta Properties is delighted to announce its support as a Principal Partner of Me and UooUoo: The RCH150 Anniversary Art Trail, celebrating 150 years of The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH).

In celebration of the RCH’s 150th anniversary, the streets of Melbourne and Geelong will come alive with a magnificent and awe-inspiring public art event. The celebrations will play an important role in the future of paediatric healthcare. To recognise this major milestone, the RCH Foundation, supported by partners like Salta Properties, is bringing colour and creativity to Victorians with a spectacular art trail. Me and UooUoo (pronounced you-you) is set to take over the streets of Melbourne and Geelong with a spectacular large-scale public art trail and fundraising auction.

Me and UooUoo aims to engage an audience of over 150,000 families and visitors alike and combines Victoria’s renowned passion for the arts and culture with a dash of outdoor adventure and will encourage and inspire individuals, families and businesses to be active and contribute to the enduring legacy of the RCH for future generations.

One hundred UooUoo sculptures, each one individually designed by a Melbourne artist and sponsored by a business, will find their new homes in laneways, streets, parks and public spaces, forming unique walking trails throughout Melbourne and Geelong. Part of Salta’s partnership included the provision of office space at Nexus in Mulgrave, where a workshop was created to enable artists to create their unique sculptures.

By onboarding as a sponsor Salta has adopted one of these sculptures. Our UooUoo, named Newtopia is designed by Kubota Fumikazu who originally hails from Japan and who’s current practice is powerful hard-edged abstract paintings.

Salta Properties’ Managing Director, Sam Tarascio, is proud to partner with such an important cause.

“As we celebrate our 50th year in business, we understand the hard work and devotion it takes to be successful for such a great length of time. We are thrilled to be able to help commemorate and support this incredible achievement by partnering with the RCH Foundation for this truly Melbourne event”

Sam Tarascio

"Newtopia’s ethos reflects Salta’s own with bright colours and nostalgic geometric patterns representing a positive vision of the future and a message of hope, especially relevant to the incredible work of the RCH."
