Salta Properties has secured international people and material lifting equipment manufacturer, Haulotte Australia Pty Ltd as a tenant at Nexus Industrial Estate on Portlink Drive in Dandenong South.

Committed to tailoring solutions, Salta Properties has specifically designed a new distribution centre for Haulotte Australia Pty Ltd, which features 550 sqm of office space; 3,000 sqm of warehousing; and 5,300 sqm of container hardstand.

CEO of Haulotte, Alexandre Saubot travelled all the way from the company’s international headquarters in France to join Salta Properties and celebrated the announcement with a site visit and sod turn ceremony.

Salta Properties Managing Director, Sam Tarascio welcomed Haulotte Group as its latest tenant at the industrial precinct and highlighted the importance of tailored solutions for tenants and clients.

“The agreement with Haulotte Australia Pty Ltd reinforces the appeal of our customised solutions that Salta Properties prides itself on at Nexus Industrial Estate.  It is rewarding to see that we continue to attract high performing companies looking for a strategic base for their distribution centres and warehousing solutions,” said Mr Tarascio.

Construction will be carried out by Q Design & Construct with work set to commence in June and completion scheduled for November 2019.

Haulotte will soon occupy a site with an end value of approximately $6.2 million at the emerging Nexus Industrial site, which plays an integral role in Salta Properties’ inland port strategy, a long-term initiative aimed at improving freight efficiency across the state of Victoria.

Haulotte CEO, Alexandre Saubot, said that the custom-built facility will allow the company to cater more broadly to its clients' logistical demands.

“The purpose-built site at Nexus Industrial will allow Haulotte to grow its business and better serve our customers’ needs for safe and innovative elevated work platforms and telehandlers.

“Australia is key to our world-wide growth strategy as we celebrate 20 years in Australia and we look forward to the next 20 years of success in our new sale & service subsidiary,” said Mr Saubot.

Adjoining the Western Port Highway, this site is part of an interconnected system of private intermodal terminals with capacity for approximately 750,000sqm of warehousing and currently home to a 44,000sqm distribution centre for Bunnings and 68,000sqm centre for Woolworths.
